The machine we use for installing decorative concrete curbing here at Curb Appeal is self-propelled and lawn-friendly. This machine produces concrete edging for use in commercial and residential landscape settings. Since the machine produces and extrudes its own formed concrete edging, there is no longer any form of work.


Businesses and homeowners are naturally concerned about having work done on their yards. One big concern is how concrete can be placed around flower beds without damage.   • 1. Sod Cutting

    The ground preparation is completed utilizing shovels and a noninvasive sod cutter. The trench is usually cut two inches deep and ten inches wide. Sod laying, sprinkler work and landscape work can be started 24 hours after installation.

  • 2. Mixing

    Mixing is done onsite with all the necessary ingredients added to ensure color consistency and long-term durability.

  • 3. Extrusion

    Different curb molds attached to the machine produce the style of edging that the customer desires. The machine easily handles either straight lines or gentle curves.

  • 4. Finishing

    The finishing touch to our product is accomplished with hand tools. As an added precaution to ground movement and cold weather, control joints are immediately cut through the curbing every one and a half to two feet.

  • 5. Preservation

    As a last step, a clear sealer is applied to preserve color and protect it from the sun. Concrete curbing, like any other type of concrete, can and will crack. We try and control the cracking with expansion joints every couple of feet. We also use fiber mesh and other additives to minimize shrinkage, which produces cracks. We experience very little cracking in our products.
